Tuire, interested to understand more about multicultural authentic eLearning

Tuire

I´m Tuire Jäntti, I live in the municipality of Vesilahti, located about 30 kilometers from Tampere city in Finland. I´m a student and teacher trainee at TAMK (Tampere University of Applied Sciences). I study there in the school of vocational teacher education. My interests are styding, exercise, reading, scouting.

I have worked in different companies with business process improvements, quality management systems, and operations. During my working time I also trained a lot. I trained business processes and information technology in different parts of the world, e.g. in Europe and India. I also had online trainings, me sitting in Finland and the audience in different parts of the world.

During my training experience, I came curious about teacher studies. I had studied technology, I´m M.Sc. (media technology in Helsinki University). I also studied product development and software business. I wanted to know more about education. First I did the basic studies in education in Tampere University and now I continue intermediate studies in Jyväskylä University. Then I started my teacher studies in Tampere University of Applied Sciences. So here I am, currently a student and a teacher trainee.

I´m very interested in eLearning, meaning how to use different available digital methods to education. I believe eLearning is the future of education in a way or another. It has a huge potential to give equal education possibilities for people throughout the world. So far I have studied what are the digital methods currently available for eLearning and how inquiry-based learning can be used in eLearning. This time I will study what does multicultural authentic eLearning mean.

This blog began with a course called multicultural authentic eLearning at Tampere University of Applied Sciences as part of my vocational teacher studies. This will be a space for reflecting and learning.
